CrossFit ® – constantly varying functional movement at high intensity.
VARYING – marked by diversity or difference “nature is infinitely variable”
FUNCTIONAL MOVMENT – Functional movements are movements based on real-world situational biomechanics. They usually involve multi-planar and multi-joint movements which place demand on the body’s core musculature and innervation.
INTENSITY – the amount of energy transmitted “the property of being intense”
At ChicagoFitLife we have a five day cycle of power movements to build max muscle and strength. After this we have the workout of the day (WOD) which incorporates 1 to 7 different exercises for a maximum number of sets or time.
Our CrossFit® workouts run 45-60 min which we allow for warming up soon after strength training then lastly the WOD.
Drop-In / Class Pass Policy
- No first-time crossfit athletes, please! You must have CrossFit experience to drop-in or use Class pass to one of our classes.
- We do not require advanced registration for our classes. Show up 10 minutes before class and fill out a waiver, take a little tour with our front desk staff and you are good to go!
- The first drop-in is $20. If you are in town for longer, we suggest a class punchcard.

After doing the WOD for a while I can now honestly say I kick ass. Doing more pushups and curls than ever before…… in front of the mirror and I feel great about it!
CrossFit® is trained in group classes which will ensure a high level of motivation but also a great atmosphere with fellow likeminded CrossFitters. This community is where the magic happens.
